First let's take a quick look at what that means, exactly. A Content Management System is a way of storing the information on your website without doing it on a page-by-page basis, as would be the norm with an html based site. The structure of the website, with headers, colour schemes, static design features being built into the website template, but then all of the content being stored in a database, such as a mysql database. Any page which a visitor comes to is then populated with the relevant content by the content management system (CMS) at the time of the visit. It's pretty clever, and has a few great benefits which we are going to have a quick look at.
